Queen Aleena X King Brandon

king Brandon is the father of Sonic Manic and Sonia he was the king of mobius before queen Aleena married him, when Robotnick attacked he mistakenly believed it would cause more harm and greater losses to fight so he surrendered. afterward Aleena, who was pregnant at the time only narrowly escaped. Robotnick decided rather than simply robotizing the king it would be more fun to stick him in the dungeons and torture him for over 20 years
"take him town below and inflict as much pain as you can without killing him, and keep him conscious i want to see the agony in his eyes"
it's been ages since he's seen the light of day, or for that matter his wife. when he shows up in the movie he doesn't know Sonic Manic or Sonia, he didn't even know they existed until recently (again he was locked up and know one knew he was down there being tortured for years)

we see him sitting at his work bench working on a rather complicated looking machine

Brandon: ow! shit....

Manic is standing in the door way

Manic: i might work faster if i were you if you haven't noticed were on a bit of time crunch

Brandon: I'M WELL AWARE! i- i know what i'm doing i just,

Brandon looks at his hands

Brandon: most of my fingers have been chopped off and reattached so many times i can hardly move them now without hurting myself, i don't have the dexterity left in them for this kind of work

manic walks over to him

Manic: i lost my eye, you want to see who has it worse

Brandon turns and glares at him

Brandon: for countless years iv'e been trapped underground miles away for the sunlight, lying in a pool of my own blood feces, only to be dragged off everyday to have myself torn apart and sewn back together, then tossed back in my cage.
(his voice goes very dark) if you want to go toe to toe with me boy i can go toe to toe, and I'll win

manic: and my father ruined my life, before i was ever even born.

Brandon turns his gaze away and continues working

manic: you're so pathetic, it's no wonder Robotnick got so much amusement from watching you squirm, but if you ask me he should have just killed you

manic leaves and Brandon drops his head in his hands, and sobs silently to himself
